We welcome today’s publication of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for the Ocean report on the Future of Ocean Technology, and are delighted that Sirius Insight has been able to play its part in contributing to the debate.
We thank the APPG for deciding to highlight in its report the work of Sirius Insight as a case study as an exemplar of innovation in the emerging ocean technology sector.
The report is a welcome contribution to the debate about ocean sustainability, and only encourages us to go further and faster in our determination to roll back the boundaries of maritime AI and transform maritime surveillance globally.
Since the submission of evidence to the APPG’s inquiry last year, we are pleased to report that we continue to make good progress in bringing our cost-effective and world-class technology to new users overseas.
We are particularly grateful to Ministers and officials in the Department for Business and Trade, the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, and the Home Office for their insights, guidance and encouragement which has proven invaluable.
The Future of Ocean Technology report sets out valuable recommendations to the UK Government on the critical role of technology in revolutionising the cost-effectiveness and rigour of marine conservation.
